Product Overview
The C3-400 is eSSL's four-door controller in the standard C3 family, designed for multi-door access-control deployments. The current product page specifies a 30,000-user capacity, 100,000-event buffer, 32-bit MIPS CPU, 32MB RAM and 128MB flash memory.
The controller supports TCP/IP and RS-485 communication. Reader capacity is published as 12 readers, consisting of 8 RS-485 readers and 4 26-bit Wiegand readers. Supported reader technology includes proximity, MIFARE and HID readers, according to the current page.
The input architecture contains 12 inputs: four exit-device inputs, four door-status inputs and four auxiliary inputs. Eight outputs are specified as four Form-C lock relays and four Form-C auxiliary relays.
The four auxiliary inputs may be used for devices such as infrared body detectors, fire alarms and smoke detectors; auxiliary outputs can connect to alarms, cameras or door bells, according to the C3-series manual.
