The EC10-EX16 is designed to restrict unauthorized elevator operation by controlling access to elevator floor buttons. eSSL identifies the EC10 as an Elevator Controller with 10 floor-button control relays, while the EX16 expansion board provides 16 floor-button control relays.
The EC10 supports 3,000 fingerprints, 30,000 proximity cards and 100,000 events. It supports both RFID and fingerprint slave readers, allowing elevator access to be authorized through supported biometric or card readers.
Communication with the computer is provided through Ethernet and RS485, while the EX16 boards communicate with the EC10 through RS485. eSSL specifies support for a maximum of three EX16 expansion boards.
