The FL400 is a smart fingerprint door lock designed for wooden doors with a published thickness range of 30–100 mm. The lock has an aluminum-alloy body with a Rock Sand Grey finish and product dimensions of 248 × 55 × 22 mm.

The lock supports 100 fingerprints, 100 passwords and 100 cards. The password capacity specification indicates a length of 6–8.

Power is provided by 4 × 1 set of AAA batteries. eSSL publishes low-battery reminder and trial-and-error alarm functionality.

The FL400 supports emergency-key unlocking, voice guidance, touch keypad operation and single or combined unlocking modes. An anti-lock option is also listed.
