Product Overview

The eSSL MA500 is designed primarily for biometric door access-control applications. It combines fingerprint authentication with optional proximity or MIFARE card-reader functionality and provides multiple physical interfaces for integration with access-control hardware.

The terminal supports 3,000 fingerprints, 30,000 cards and 100,000 transaction logs. It uses an optical fingerprint sensor protected by a cover and the Finger V10.0 algorithm.

Connectivity includes TCP/IP and RS485, while a configurable Wiegand output can be used to connect the terminal with most access-control panel brands, according to eSSL.

The device is specified with IP65 ingress protection and a vandal-resistant construction. eSSL also describes master/slave deployment through RS485, anti-passback support and multiple alarm types including tamper, door-sensor and duress alarms.
